The Toronto Real Estate Board released the February 2010 statistics for the GTA. The number of sales for the month of February was 7,291 in the GTA compared to 4,120 in February of 2009, representing a 77% increase.
The number of days on the market decreased from 45 in 2009 to 22 in 2010 – a 55% change.
In the Central District of Toronto in February 2010, the average price was $566,589 and the median price was $415,500. The average percent to list came in at 101%. The average number of days on the market was 18 days compared to the GTA average of 22 days.
Overall, over $790 Million worth of real estate traded in the central core of Toronto during the month of February.
