Royal LePage National Garage Sale Takes Place May 14th

The Third Annual Royal LePage Shelter Foundation garage sale is taking place this year at four locations in Toronto.

The Royal LePage Garage Sale in Toronto is on May 14th.

Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation, which provides awareness and fundraising for violence prevention and education programs.

“As real estate agents, we know the importance of having a safe home,” Leila Brewster, the planner for the event, told the Digital Journal this week. “Our clients have ample funds in order to buy their dream homes. In the case of violence, many women and children are living without that safety. They don’t have the means to get into a safe home without the help of a shelter. These shelters offer them a place that they can call home and be safe. It’s a way we as a company can ease that suffering,” she said.

Last year, the garage sale raised over $300,000 and nation-wide, the foundation itself raised $1.8 million throughout the year. The garage sale at the 905 King West location will also have baked goods, coffee, entertainment, a silent auction, a BBQ and a raffle.

Gently used items can be donated at your local Royal LePage office. More information on the event is available at the Third Annual Royal LePage Garage Sale event page on Facebook.

A map of garage sale locations will be provided as soon as one is available.
